Child Safety Standards

our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation
Last updated: [DATE]  ·  Applies to the StarLove mobile application and starlove18.org

Our commitment

StarLove has a zero tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Content and behavior that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children is strictly prohibited on StarLove, without exception. We prohibit it regardless of whether the content involves real children, and regardless of the form it takes, including images, video, audio, text, links, usernames, profile content, messages, and computer-generated or edited material.

Accounts that engage in CSAE are removed permanently. Where required or appropriate, we report to law enforcement and to the relevant child protection authority.

What we prohibit

The following are prohibited on StarLove:

Age requirements

StarLove is a private, invitation-based community intended for adults. Users must be at least [MINIMUM AGE] years old to request an invitation or hold an account. We do not knowingly permit accounts belonging to people below this age. Accounts we identify as belonging to a minor are removed. Anyone may report a suspected underage account using the mechanisms below.

Reporting

Every member can report content or behavior directly inside the app. Posts, comments, messages, and member profiles each include a reporting option, and members can also block any other member. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

Anyone, including people who do not have a StarLove account, may also report a child safety concern to us by email at shalom@starlove18.org. Reports concerning child safety are prioritized.

If a child is in immediate danger

Contact your local law enforcement immediately. In the United States, you can also make a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.

How we respond

When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAE content or conduct on StarLove, we act promptly. Our response includes, as appropriate to the circumstances:

We comply with applicable child safety laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where StarLove is available.

Prevention

StarLove is invitation-based rather than open to the public. Membership requests are reviewed before an account is approved, which limits anonymous access to the community. Members are bound by our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, which incorporate these standards.

Child safety point of contact

Our designated point of contact for child safety matters, including notifications from Google Play or Apple regarding CSAE content, is:

[NAME OR ROLE, e.g. "Child Safety Lead, StarLove"]
shalom@starlove18.org

This contact is able to speak to our enforcement and review procedures and to take action where required.

Updates to these standards

We review these standards periodically and update them as our product, our community, and applicable law evolve. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
